Executive Team

Lawrence S. Dolin
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Larry Dolin is a founder of Noteworthy.  He has been active in healthcare for many years, having served on the board of trustees of MetroGeneral Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio; as Chairman and CEO of Helian Health Group, Inc., a public company engaged in ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient clinics; and in IMREG, a biotechnology company engaged in immune research.  He ran and had been the majority owner of a large entertainment facility that presented top entertainers and speakers, and has been involved in founding, investing in, or serving on the boards of other public companies, including VeloBind, Inc., and several privately held companies in various industries.  He currently serves on the public boards of Morgan's Food, Inc. and FalconStor, Inc., a technology company specializing in IP storage.  Mr. Dolin lectures on entrepreneurship at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.  He has a juris doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University where he participated on its Law Review and practiced for five years after graduation.  Currently he serves on the law school's visiting committee.


Paul L. Ruflin
President and Chief Operating Officer

Paul Ruflin's 25-plus years of healthcare experience in both the healthcare software and services business make him an ideal candidate to lead Noteworthy during its next phase of development and growth. He was recently added to Noteworthy's Board of Directors. Paul joined Noteworthy from Deloitte Consulting LLP in New York, where he served as a senior partner in the Healthcare Practice. Paul was the CEO of Eclipsys Corp, a publicly traded major healthcare software company, during the time it brought its next generation healthcare software solutions to market. Just prior, Paul was COO of the North American operations for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Prior to his role as COO, Paul was the national director of the health managed care practice for Cap Gemini and Ernst & Young. He held a variety of leadership positions at Ernst & Young in the healthcare practice prior to leading the practice. In addition to taking part in the Executive Program of Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Paul received his MBA from Bowling Green State University. Paul is a veteran healthcare executive whose experience with healthcare technology and operations will be of great benefit to Noteworthy customers.


Mark H. Conner
Executive Vice President

Mark H. Conner founded MARS Medical Systems, Inc. Originally organized as Applied Software Techniques, Mr. Conner led the strategic direction of the company since its founding in 1984. As Chief Architect of all MARS products, Mr. Conner is a pioneer in the practice management industry by making NetPracticePM™ the first fully browser-based practice management solution in 1999. Under the leadership of Mr. Conner, MARS again achieved an industry first in 2001 with the introduction of a series of powerful modules for NetPracticePM™. This suite of tools provided the first fully integrated and automated medical coding analysis, appointment reminders, eligibility verification, secure patient Web portal and mobile device charge capture system. Mr. Conner has successfully negotiated strategic partnerships with several major healthcare industry companies.


John F. Rice
Vice President of Development

Before joining Noteworthy, Mr. Rice was director of software development for NetGenics where he was instrumental in early product architecture and building development teams.  Prior to NetGenics, he spent 10 years in various development and management capacities for Chemical Abstracts Service.  Mr. Rice graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in computer science from Bowling Green State University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.  He also received his M.S. in computer science and taught for two years at BGSU.


Nate Allen
Vice President of Professional Services

Having moved through the Noteworthy ranks for the past 10 years, Mr. Allen is intimately familiar with both technical and user aspects of the Noteworthy product line. Before assuming the role of vice president of professional services in April 2008, Mr. Allen served as an implementation project manager, a customer account manager, the manager of various internal development and IT teams and, finally, a product manager. He brings his varied experience with the company, strong technical background and unique product expertise to this latest, key leadership position, where he continues to be an energetic customer advocate.


Martin Frygier
Vice President of Sales

Mr. Frygier began his Noteworthy career in January, 2000.  With 10 years prior experience in various healthcare roles at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Mr. Frygier is personally aware of the issues facing healthcare organizations.  Growing through a number of positions at Noteworthy, including clinical consultant, director of clinical resources, and sales consultant, he now leads the physician sales and marketing divisions.  With a background in healthcare and implementation and a detailed understanding of the company's technology, he is personal involved with every NoteworthyEHR sale.  Mr. Frygier is uniquely positioned to communicate and manage the Noteworthy sales process.


Jeffrey L Maynard
Vice President of Client Services

Mr. Maynard is responsible for managing all aspects of customer service for Noteworthy. Additionally, as a developer, he manages all interface matters with third party vendors and directs all client data conversion processes. He is also involved with the evolution and ongoing development of core products. Prior to taking an ownership role with MARS Medical Systems in 1995, Mr. Maynard was owner of MARS Systems and Services, Inc., at that time the largest reseller of MARS Medical Systems products and services. Mr. Maynard is based at the Noteworthy satellite office in Pocatello, Idaho.


Dianna Santillanes
Vice President of Marketing and Sales Support

Ms. Santillanes is responsible for overall marketing and sales support. Ms. Santillanes joined MARS in 2001 and initially served on the product implementation team. She then moved into product sales where she was the top performing sales person prior to being appointed Director of Sales in 2006. Her role then again expanded to Director of Sales and Implementation later that same year. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Santillanes was practice administrator for 13 years with two years experience prior working with two physician groups in Idaho.


Vincenzo Scivittaro, M.D., Ph.D., MS-MIS
Director of Medical Informatics

Dr. Vincenzo Scivittaro brings 15 years of multi-disciplinary medical and informatics experience to Noteworthy.  Dr. Scivittaro holds a Ph.D. in Nephrology and a masters in management of information systems.  He is the primary author of several research studies published in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented his results at national and international meetings.  At Noteworthy he is responsible for the construction and implementation of guidelines-based medical content using agile development methodologies for knowledge-based systems.  Dr. Scivittaro's team identifies, develops and maintains a comprehensive medical content knowledge base supporting compliance and documented clinical guidelines.  As part of the product management team, Dr. Scivittaro is also responsible to research, define and prioritize the next generation Noteworthy product.
