
EHR group partners with IT companies to push adoption in Arizona
The Purchasing & Assistance Collaborative for Electronic Health Records is partnering with two health IT vendors in an effort to provide Arizona's physician practices with affordable electronic health records.

Group practices that are pioneers in the clinical decision support arena envision a day in the not-too-distant future when they'll carefully analyze the use of protocols and other decision support aids to measure what approaches work best. "That's likely our next step," says Nancy Babbitt, administrator at Roswell Pediatric Center in Alpharetta, Ga. The group practice is using NetPracticeEHR for documenting care that include templates with decision support functions.

Noteworthy Medical Systems
secures equity investment. Noteworthy Medical Systems Inc., a producer of electronic medical records software in Mayfield Heights, has received what was termed “a substantial equity investment” from CompuGroup Holding AG, a European health care software provider based in Koblenz, Germany.
 
Noteworthy's Connected Care Solutions is a suite of software options to electronically connect the medical community and allows the sharing of clinical information. The NetPractice MedicalHub is the core of this system. It is a plug-n-play universal health exchange application which provides community health records (CHR).
