Physicians to Children, Inc., Selects Best-of-Breed Noteworthy Medical Systems Electronic Health Records (EHR)

CLEVELAND, OH and ROANOKE, VA — Feb. 26, 2007 — Noteworthy Medical Systems, originator of the three-screen ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) system, today announced that Physicians to Children ("PTC"), of Roanoke, Va., has selected NoteworthyEHR to provide a cost-effective, customized system for coordinating, maintaining and managing data for nearly 30,000 patients, while supporting and enhancing the doctor-patient relationship. Noteworthy will utilize the award-winning Rhapsody engine to interface with PTC's NextGen EPM practice management system for seamless functionality.

PTC evaluated single-source solutions for more than two years without finding one that could meet their needs — until they discovered the best-of-breed NoteworthyEHR. According to F. Randell Burton, a PTC physician, "It became apparent to us that we needed a more intuitive product with better pediatric content than what we'd previously seen. We needed NoteworthyEHR. It stood out among the competition in ease of documenting encounters and improving practice efficiencies. We were also impressed by their commitment to continually improving an exceptional pediatric product."

NoteworthyEHR's highly intuitive user interface will enable PTC's physicians and staff to efficiently duplicate the natural flow of patient visits through its "point and click" documentation process. The software automates common clinical activities and reports while enabling users to quickly and thoroughly capture all essential patient information at the point of care.

Implementation concerns were also high on PTC's list, according to their practice administrator Brenda Anderson. "We found Noteworthy's implementation model to be far superior to other products. Repeatedly, clients confirmed Noteworthy's planning and implementation methodology was instrumental in their ability to transition to an EHR without sacrificing productivity."

"Single-source solutions, while understandably appealing at first glance, can be unrealistic in the long run. Physicians to Children's choice of NoteworthyEHR is evidence of the intrinsic value of our best-of-breed software and services. PTC diligently assessed the needs of their practice and staff and sought out the best solution to meet those needs. That's the ideal way to invest in the future of your practice, and we look forward to being a part of their future success," said Lawrence Dolin, president and CEO of Noteworthy.
