Huntsville Pediatric Associates Quickly Increases Productivity After Only Two Hours of Training on NoteworthyEHR

Cleveland, OH and Huntsville, AL – December 3, 2007 – Noteworthy Medical Systems, originator of the three-screen ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) management system, today announced it successfully implemented NoteworthyEHR at Huntsville Pediatric Associates, Ala.

Because Noteworthy’s six-stage implementation methodology is so effective and the software's interface so easy to use, each administrative user attended just one hour of classroom training; clinical users attended just two hours of training. As a result, 100 percent of triage calls were entered within the very first day, and multiple physicians saw 100 percent of their patients in the EHR by Day 3, a day earlier than expected. "We never thought we'd be so productive so quickly," said Robin Riggs, Huntsville Pediatrics' practice administrator.

Riggs noted that the idea of using a new computer system was initially intimidating to staff, especially since they implemented a new practice management system barely a month before. "The Noteworthy Team worked closely with us so we'd know what to expect. The few issues were easily resolved."

"I was sure that using an EHR would interfere with the way we care and interact with our patients, but I love it!" said Bryan Laue, M.D., one of Huntsville Pediatrics' six pediatricians. Huntsville Pediatrics is now improving patient care, particularly triage calls, through instant access to more than 50,000 patient records.

“We’ve eliminated lost charts. Everyone is thrilled at just that quick achievement, with more to come," said Mike Klemm, M.D. Despite precise coding prior to the transition to NoteworthyEHR, the practice still expects a significant increase in E&M code revenue and overall charge capture.

"We're proud but not surprised at our consistent success implementing NoteworthyEHR," said Lawrence Dolin, Noteworthy's CEO. "Huntsville Pediatrics is just one more client benefiting from the expertise of our implementation team and industry-leading ease of use. Our commitment to continually incorporate customer feedback means we best understand and meet the needs of our clients. We couldn't be more excited about Huntsville Pediatrics' quick transition and success."
